Sometimes simple is better.

Sometimes the best songs are the simplest songs. A simple repeated lyric can be incredibly effective. If you don't believe me, just listen to this.

Hey, how come that link in my first post changed? What the hell is with that? It used to go here, but now it doesn't go there anymore.

Anybody know why that would happen?

By the way, this song is now my official anthem.

If this link takes you to a CD called, "Dan Reeder", scroll down and click on the link for song #9, called, "Work Song".

It's a song with no instruments, just hand-clapping to keep time, that repeats the one lyric, "I've got all--all the f*cking work I need" over and over again. the singer overdubs his own voice to sound like multiple singers singing in a style that reminds me of a negro spiritual or something. Describing it just doesn't do it justice. Crap.

Ah, too bad I can't hear it. I love negro spirituals.

Excellent! Glad to hear it worked for you, Dag. The rest of the CD is pretty interesting too, but that song is just too perfect. Gotta love it.

I like it.

Simple can be better when's its interesting and at least slightly original. Playing G, D, C isn't very good even though it simple.

Are you talking about this song specifically, or are you making a general statement? I disagree completely with your statement that playing G,D,C isn't very good. What is it about those specific chords that is inherently bad, in your opinion?

Well, for me, I don't like them because I don't like major chord progression Razz. Minor>major always for me. Plus it's a bit too cliche for me. But that's just me.

I wasn't able to get your song working unfortunately so I can't make any commments on it specifically.
