now the truth can be told, late one slow night on the board, gus told me a story but swore me to secrecy, i fear now i must relate this tale

gus is a twin, the man in the picture is his better looking more successful half, he, not gus is the black sheep of the family.

as children their parents did all they could to get little gus (yes they named both children gus, for reason's known only to them) to be interested in raising the chupacabra's and helping to rake the muck (the ratzenhofers are renound muckrakers), but only little gus was interested, the other little gus only wanted to calculate actuerial charts and dreamt of being an investment banker, much to his parents shame, the other gus grew more distant from the family and one day, he borrowed a suit from the local mortuary, (the only place in town that actually had suits) and set off for the city. the family never talks of him, and if not for reyn discovering this picture this sad tale of the ratzenhofers would remain ancient history
