I'm going to post a picture from this trip without a title. The one that guesses the right location will be awarded a photograph of their choice from any I have posted on a2k.

farmerman, No, we didn't get any lecture on the Wallace Line. However, I googled it just now, and found it quite fascinating. That birds in Bali was completely absent in Lompok, it's neighboring island that has Australian birds. Thanks for the inquiry.

All of your photos are beautiful, C.I. but my preference so far among the fauna is the Water lily:

Water Lilies

If you have forgotten water lilies floating
On a dark lake among mountains in the afternoon shade,
If you have forgotten their wet, sleepy fragrance,
Then you can return and not be afraid.

But if you remember, then turn away forever
To the plains and the prairies where pools are far apart,
There you will not come at dusk on closing water lilies,
And the shadow of mountains will not fall on your heart.

The bamboo is lovely as well, but the elephant cave looked rather small for secreting away pachyderms, even those with small ears.<smile>
