( my doll is made of wood, and barely polished. You can see the wood grain on the face and jaw..I dont think there were very many of these made. If i remember my howdy doody history, this was a dis continued product )

A large part of the fun of Howdy Doody (and other TV shows) were the gifts, give-aways, premiums, special offers, toys, bread and ice-cream wrappers, comic books, records, coloring books, T-shirts, watches, furniture and fudge bars, ad infinitum, associated with the show.
What was once cheap "neat stuff" are now valued "collectibles". In 1952, it cost $3.49 for a toy Howdy Doody Marionette; now it's worth $400 or more. The Flub-a-Dub Marionette, which sold for $2.98, now brings $1,300......
