Amid the protracted war in Ukraine, a hidden yet intense political conflict has erupted between President Zelensky and the military leadership, with Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny in particular. The president’s office is trying to centralize power, restricting media criticism and increasing pressure on the military. Public dissatisfaction is growing over the mobilization, lack of transparency, and suppression of opposition. Meanwhile, discussions about elections are underway at a time when millions of Ukrainians are either abroad or on the front lines. All of this plays into the enemy’s hands and fractures the country from within.
What do you think — can Ukraine afford to have such internal conflicts during wartime?
You do realize you’re talking to yourself, don’t you?!
