Why is this forum, one of the only ones, apart from some religious nutjob forums, where religious bigotry, intolerance and hate is permitted?

There was a BBC programme on comedy and offensiveness.

The big change between 70s comedy and the 80s new wave is what was deemed offensive.

Basically in the 70s racism, homophobia, misogyny etc. were all acceptable but swearing was out.

Now it's the other way round.

Nobody is hurt by swear words, but bigotry has real world consequences.

Going through all the participants in this forum, how many do you see using the f--k and s--t words and other offensive remarks against those who fail to agree with them? I would say that the greater majority of members on this forum would be offended when such language is used against them.

Although it doesn't offend me, as I understand that those who use these tactics, are simply bullies who lack the ability or intelligence to debate in a manner agreeable to all members.
