Green acres is the place to be
Farm living is the life for me
Land spreadin' out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan just give me that countryside
New York is where I'd rather stay
I get allergic smelling hay
I just adore a penthouse view
Darling I love you but give me Park Avenue
The chores!
The stores!
Fresh air!
Times Square!
You are my wife
Goodbye city life
Green acres we are there!
Yes, I am a son of a bitch.
Why are you calling your mom a bitch?
She had me, didn't she? That qualifies.
Skwerl - Here is a bit of doggerel to keep you occupied.
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
He'd chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
Come ride the little train that is rolling down the tracks to the junction.
(Petticoat Junction)
Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the junction.
(Petticoat Junction)
Lotsa curves, you bet. Even more when you get
To the junction, Petticoat Junction.
There's a little hotel called the Shady Rest at the junction.
(Petticoat Junction)
It is run by Kate, come and be her guest at the junction.
(Petticaor Junction)
And that's Uncle Joe, he's a movin' kind of slow at the junction,
Petticoat Junction.

And taking walks in the rain
If you're not into yoga
And have half a brain
Check mate.
Don't tell my heart
My achy Breaky heart
I just don't think he'd understand
(Jesus arrives..... world ends)

Touche. The only song worse than that is the version done by Alvin and the Chipmunks. I'm being totally serious--they did Achy Breaky Heart. Once I went to a redneck diner and saw it on the jukebox at the table, couldn't help myself. It came on, and every Cletus in the room turned and sized me up, anal rape scenarios playing in their heads.
How about that commercial: Call 1-800 East-West. That's 1-800 East-West..
I can't get rid of that one for hours each time I hear it. Mercifully I forgot all about it here in Vienna, but it jumps back out every time songs that stick get mentioned. Thanks a lot, skwerl. I missed it tremendously.
I'll do ya all one better:
Why'd ya come in here lookin like that
with your high heeled boots
and your painted on jeans...
Wow...you're all bastards.

*clapping*
Twinkle twinkle little bat
How I wonder what you're at
Up above the world so high
Like a tea tray in the sky
Twinkle twinkle little bat
How I wonder what you're at.....
That brought tears to my eyes...
Damn.
DIE Bastard DIE!
Alas, my love, you do me wrong,
To cast me off discourteously.
For I have loved you well and long,
Delighting in your company.
Chorus:
Greensleeves was all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight,
Greensleeves was my heart of gold,
And who but my lady greensleeves.
2. Your vows you've broken, like my heart,
Oh, why did you so enrapture me?
Now I remain in a world apart
But my heart remains in captivity.
Chorus:
3. I have been ready at your hand,
To grant whatever you would crave,
I have both wagered life and land,
Your love and good-will for to have.
Chorus:
4. If you intend thus to disdain,
It does the more enrapture me,
And even so, I still remain
A lover in captivity.
Chorus:
5. My men were clothed all in green,
And they did ever wait on thee;
All this was gallant to be seen,
And yet thou wouldst not love me.
Chorus:
6. Thou couldst desire no earthly thing,
But still thou hadst it readily.
Thy music still to play and sing;
And yet thou wouldst not love me.
Chorus:
7. Well, I will pray to God on high,
That thou my constancy mayst see,
And that yet once before I die,
Thou wilt vouchsafe to love me.
Chorus:
8. Ah, Greensleeves, now farewell, adieu,
To God I pray to prosper thee,
For I am still thy lover true,
Come once again and love me.
Chorus:
