Shouldn’t there be a comma after “Australia”?

At work, Ms Neha Dharma is like any of her other colleagues. The 24-year-old Singaporean human resource consultant based in Sydney, Australia does not have all the answers, sometimes makes mistakes and even gets chided by her boss.

Shouldn’t there be a comma after “Australia”?

Thanks!

@tanguatlay,
My guess is that there should be no comma after Australia.

@tanguatlay,
No, there doesn't HAVE to be a comma.

If you had written "... consultant, based...", I would say yes, because it and the comma after Australia would act like parentheses (does it matter where she's based?). Where I would add a comma, however, is after 'mistakes'.

Punctuation is simply there to help us express ourselves more clearly:

Today I ate a peanut butter and jam sandwich vs I have to go shopping today to buy some butter, eggs, peanut butter, and jam.

Looking forward to hearing what others have to say.

@Mame,
I agree with Roger and Mame. The confusion might grow out of the practice of enclosing proper names in commas, as in "The discoverer of penicillin, Alexander Fleming, was born in 1881."
