Suggested readings/Writers?

Ohm, I have access to a little stock of english books, not the serious stuff. However, I hardly know any writers. I know Stephen King, and Eoin Colfer, they're almost the same type, (In an undefined way i.e.), but who more is there? Who writes in these types? (Fantasy/Horror)

Thanks in advance.

Amazon Link for Fantasy - Horror

I don't read Fanasy/Horror myself so I don't have any author recommendations, but the Amazon link above may lead to peoples' review of different books.

The Divine Comedy is one of the great epic poems of all literature. The most famous part of which, of course, is The Inferno which is widely available by itself. Great as Dante is, the translation you choose can make all the difference. If you're interested, I recommend Robert Pinsky's translation The Inferno of Dante.
