If you look at the Google image search results for paintings signed M. Chapot, you may come to the conclusion that it's a pseudonym used by a variety of artists in a factory setting.

I noticed the oil painting I have looks similar to the one I saw on internet.

Any thoughts?

@fmss8504,
It's worth stretching and framing if you want to keep it. Worth what the stretch and frame costs - a couple of hundred bucks. This was done in a painterly manner, I'd sure get it stretched before the paint gets damaged.
