@fmss8504,
Picture of the back with close ups of any tags or notes.

It certainly looks like his work.

Works like this go for around $400 - $1,000. Very cheap, I'd pay more than that for the one you have.

@fmss8504,
The pricing is still $400 - $1000.

There was a lot of story on the back. It's an older stretched linen canvas.

It may have fallen, there's some indications of inexpert repairs, including missing and replaced wedges. This is not the original frame, and there's some staples that would be evidence of an early repair that's been undone. All this suggests a fall off a wall with several repairs before you got it.

On the photo of the frame with writing, it looks older and almost suggests a European hand, maybe an auction or gallery inventory number. For the fun of it, google that number and see where it takes you. I am convinced it is an original Poplaski. The value seem low to me, but low also means it is even less likely that it was faked. I'd hang it and see if I could find a Poplaski admirer site.

The pricing is consistent with sales for the last 20 or so years.

He's a minor but good artist I find interesting. The market he's in did not do well in the last five years. He was very prolific, so a higher price is not seemingly to be looked for in the near term. Collect him because you like him. There will always be a market for his paintings in the high end interior decorating. I know I like his work a lot. But he was prolific.
