How long do I have to have this? Anyone had this experience?
@ChemDawg,
ask your doctor, not a bunch of strangers on the interwebs...
@Region Philbis,
Gee Thanks! Looks like another wonderful helpful site!

@jcboy,
I didn't ask for professional advice! I asked if anyone else had to have a tube placed after gall bladder surgery as it's rare!

There's nothing about that in your opening post
@ChemDawg,
No big deal, it happens, there are a lot of very knowledgeable members on this site some have been here over twenty years and they give great advice

just because someone else had this done does not mean
you will need it.
only the medical staff treating you knows the answer...
@ChemDawg,
We are not qualified to give medical advice. Talk to your doctor.
It seems you're asking if anyone else has had the same procedure you're about to go through.
That is a legitimate question, but this is a very small community, and if anyone has had this procedure they're unlikely to have the same experience as yourself.
You need to talk to a wide group of people, and your doctor may be able to put you in contact with a support group which would be a lot better.
@izzythepush,
Thank you! Already have the tube in place, just no one is telling me when it can come out.
@ChemDawg,
I can't help you with that.
Can't your doctor tell you?
Ask for a ballpark figure.
@izzythepush,
Maybe tomorrow is all she has said! Kaiser!
@ChemDawg,
All you need to know till tomorrow!
@ChemDawg,
Is your doctor Chrissie Hynde?
@ChemDawg,
I had a drain for a few days after my surgery, but that was when it was still being done with a big incision and several days in the hospital. Many years ago.
@izzythepush,
Akron girl, she went to the better school in town.
