I have some (crucial) questions for all (third party) candidates running for president.

@edgarblythe,

Even when liberal Democrats ran the country Texas voted in conservatives. The conservatives ran as Democrats and performed as conservatives while giving liberalism a dishonest thumbs up. I don't throw my vote away. I vote for what I want. The ones that throw their votes away vote party line without thinking or stay at home on election day.

Example why it doesn't help to elect Texas Democrats:
Republican Senator Ted Cruz receives endorsement from Democratic Harris Co. District Attorney Kim Og

Another reason to vote 3rd party: The Ds spend millions to primary anyone whose thinking approaches mine. Example: Cori Bush yesterday, primaried and ousted.

Are you saying that the DNC directed these funds for that purpose? I heard that the money for the Bell campaign came from pro-Israel lobbying groups. And the votes came from rank-and-file Democrats. I don't see why that's the fault of the entire Democratic Party – seems more like a local issue. Campaign finance reform would go a long way toward fixing these sorts of systemic problems with PACs and dark money.

@hightor,
I concede that the party itself didn't fund her opposition in this case because the for Israel lobby did it. But they do do that when there is no Israel lobby to do it for them.

I think they'd more likely wait until after the primaries and spend money on a candidate that has a proven record as a vote-getter. I've heard of the DNC disapproving of "rogue" candidates and simply cutting their connections to money and publicity, but I'll have to look for examples of the kind of thing you're talking about. I did find this: Contributions made by party committees – from the Federal Election Commission.

There's a possibility that RFK Jr is working with Trump and could be placed in a Trump cabinet as head of the HHS (Health & Human Services): See the 28:50 mark of Jon Oliver's Last Week Tonight episode below.

So, even his presidential candidacy is disingenuous as his claims of not being an antivaxxer.

The last RFK, Jr., poll I saw put him down there with the fishes.

Could Joe Rogan help lure Trump voters to RFK Jr?

@tsarstepan,
New York state judge throws Robert F. Kennedy Jr. off presidential ballot
Quote:
New York State Supreme Court Justice Christina Ryba of Albany decided against the independent candidate late Monday, ruling that the Westchester County address of a friend he listed on his ballot petitions is a “sham” meant to “further his political ambitions in this state.”

The decision, if upheld, would remove Kennedy from the New York presidential race and threatens to upend his political campaign, which used the same Katonah address to register for the ballot in other states.

“RFK Jr. as Trump’s health secretary? Here’s what he wants to do,” by NBC’s Brandy Zadrozny

Quote:
“HHS oversees 13 agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health. On the campaign trail, in podcasts and in news interviews, [ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR.] has described wanting to dismantle those offices and rebuild them with like-minded fringe figures. … Faced with another pandemic, Kennedy said, he wouldn’t prioritize the research, manufacture or distribution of vaccines.”

@tsarstepan,
And the RFK JR saga continues.
RFK Jr. sues North Carolina elections board over ballot
Quote:
The North Carolina board of elections said it scheduled an emergency meeting to evaluate Kennedy’s request to be removed as a We The People Party nominee.

The three Democrats on the board overruled the two Republicans in determining it was “too late in the process to change course” and prepare the state ahead of the November election.

Both Michigan and Wisconsin, two key swing states, also shot down Kennedy’s request to be removed.
