The cop let the door go!

Trump exiting the room where he was processed was preceded by two (what looked like) court cops. When they escorted him out, they just let the door go after they exited...and Trump essentially had to tend to the door opening himself.

Must have been the first time in a long while that happened.

He certainly did not look happy.

First still picture in the courtroom shows the defense table with Trump in the middle. Behind him are two court cops...one a woman of color.

Funny thing is that if Trump decided to stand up and try to do something out of the ordinary, she might well just put her hand on his shoulder and order him to sit back down.

Wouldn't I love to see that.

By the way, the collar of Trump's jacket looks soiled. He is never a fashion statement, but that jacket seems particularly suspect.

@Frank Apisa,
Love to see it? Hell, I'd pay to see it.

After watching Eric whine about his daddy being arrested, I'd pay to hear what he'd have to say about a court security person putting hands on daddy.

What I've noticed about daddy through the years is that every time someone got the sand to challenge him face to face, daddy ALWAYS backs down.

@Frank Apisa,
I believe Trump is no angel and certainly earned a day in court, but the comments here are more about hating his wealth and privilege than his crimes. I wish I was as wealthy as he and others, but I don't hate them for it. Good on them. I have recently realized that there are a lot of people that take risks, start businesses and make a lot of money. My issue is more with why I don't than why they are wealthy now. Yes, he had a big help and came from wealth, but ultimately, a person has to take personal risk of some sort to change their position. I don't think anybody can argue that he doesn't take personal risk. You can't go in front of a TV and not take a personal risk. He just either doesn't care or knows that even bad publicity is publicity and his base eats it up. I am pretty sure that this whole thing will only improve his standing unless he is in prison.

@chrisb555,
I believe you are mistaken. There are many more wealthy than Trump.

Perhaps you are projecting your own feelings. I can see no reason to think that ANY comments here are more about hating his wealth and privilege than his crimes.

You mean like stiffing contractors, filing frivolous lawsuits, and hiring undocumented workers? Why do you feel it necessary to defend Trump? Sure, there are a lot of ethical, even admirable, people in business – and there are even some in politics. Trump is neither and never has been.

All the conspiracy nonsense about Bill Gates is about envy and hatred of his wealth, not about anything he's done.

Same with George Soros but that includes antisemitism.

@roger,
absolutely and Trump is awful. He basically stole from contractors he hired at every job. Just saying that answers to the question aren't aligned.
