President Biden declared Castner Range a national monument

Today President Biden declared Castner Range in El Paso, Texas a national monument. El Paso wraps around the southern portion of the Franklin Mountains, and Castner Range lies at the foot of the Franklin Mountains in the Northeast side of El Paso.

Back in the day, Fort Bliss used the range for artillery practice.

A few years ago there was a particularly large bloom of Mexican poppies

Well were are people going to live? Nobody is building houses, towns, and actually trying to solve the problem with the national debt.

What does this mean by national monument?

Biden might have done so to prevent a casino from being built but honestly what does it all mean???? No Navajo taking back that property??

El Paso County is pretty big. There is a lot of land east of the Franklin Mountains. It's the only area into which El Paso can grow.

National Monument, US

The Native Americans that were from this area were the Manso and Suma, not the Navajo. The state of Texas prevents the Tigua people, who originally are from further north in New Mexico, from operating a casino in El Paso.
