who makes more money, a doctor or an engineer?
Hey, how old are you to ask that kind of question?
A good doctor makes more money than a bad ingineer LOL
Yeah, what kind of doctor? What kind of engineer?
Our neighbour is a Dr. engineer, who makes really some money, even without working, just by getting the money from his patents.
The neighnour on the other site is a pediatrist (without a doctor degree), leading a pediatric department in a hospital - he earns quite a lot as well, but less than the other.
An actuary makes more money than any doctor or engineer LOL
You would have a very comfortable lifestyle in either profession. Becoming a medical doctor takes more years of schooling than becoming an engineer, and it is harder to get into medical school.
One word of caution about engineering - there are several different types and they are not interchangeable. I'm a chemical engineer, and unfortunately most of the jobs are in places I'm really not interested in living in. However, since people want to drink clean water and drive over safe roads everywhere, a civil engineer (like a medical doctor) can find jobs even in nice places to live.
Surely doctors make more money than dudes who drive trains....
A custodial engineer makes mad cake.
If you're looking to make big $$$, then sales is traditionally the highest paid "profession."
