1. Wikipedia has him listed as (5 ft 6 in)

(Charles Barkley) had said he would kiss (Kenny Smith's) ass if Yao Ming were to score 19 points in a game that year.

Well, after Yao Ming had scored over 19 points in a game that year, (Charles) was true to his word.

@Real Music,
Ahaha! If you’re a hack sports talking-head and you don’t have a clue, you may resort to hyperbole to try to get ratings. He might as well dropped his drawers in front of the camera. Putting out comments that Bird’s 3-pt shooting down and saying the 80s-era b-ball as not being as physical is plain ignorant.

@Ragman,
1. Yes. I agree with you.
2. JJ Riddick showed himself to be clueless about 80s-era basketball.
3. The 80s-era basketball was clearly more physical.
4. A lot of the fouls being called in today's NBA, wouldn't even get called in 80s-era NBA.
5. A lot of the technical fouls being called in today's NBA would be common ordinary fouls in 80s-era NBA.
6. As everyone should know, the 3-pt shot was not a major part of the NBA in 80s-era basketball.
7. Getting the ball in the paint and the low post was a much bigger part of the game in 80s-era basketball.
8. When put into context Larry Bird is clearly a great 3-pt shooter.
9. Larry Bird is also one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

Michael Jordan In 2020...

What if Michael played today, in an era of more offense? Just how dominant would he be?...

@Real Music,

I agree with all your points but particularly these 3:
