Is "in the future" correctly used?

We will continue our volunteer activities in the future…

Is “in the future" wrongly used? I wonder because "in the future" seems to imply that the volunteering would start only in the future, when what is meant is that it is continuing without a break.

If I am right, how should it be reworded?

Thanks.

@tanguatlay,
1. When else would anything continue but 'in the future'? It can't continue in the past, can it? "In the Future" is redundant. Like, "past experience". One's experience is always past, isn't it? It's as bad as saying 6:00 a.m. in the morning.

2. If you're wanting to say "the volunteer activities will continue without a break", then just say so.

Wouldn't the word "our" also be redundant?
