Globetrotting gnome Norris has been on his travels again . . . and this time he's found his long-lost twin.



Maureen and Sandy Simpson once worried when they saw Norris the gnome missing from his plot in their Gateshead garden, but now they know he's simply off exploring the world.

The Sunday Sun reported in May how the tiny traveller has already been to the exotic beaches of Turkey and Tenerife . . . and he always sends postcards and photos back home to his devoted owners, of course.

His most recent jolly jaunt took him to Great Yarmouth, and when he came back last week he had identical twin brother Morris with him.

Maureen, 69, couldn't believe her eyes when she found the pint-sized pair tied together in the garden with a note attached.

She said: "We had such a giggle when we read the note. It says, 'Hi Maureen and Sandy, did you miss me? I've had yet another great adventure. This is my long lost twin brother Morris. He has come for a holiday in the garden. I hope you don't mind, he doesn't take up mushroom'.

"Someone has gone to a lot of effort by staging these holidays with Norris . . . I just hope that from now on Morris will be able to go along with him."

The couple found Norris abandoned in an alleyway a couple of years ago, but gave him a home in their garden where their grandchildren could see him.

But they had to launch a search party for him in February of last year when he was kidnapped, only to return days later with a note attached, saying he'd been on an adventure.

Since then he's disappeared on a regular basis and postcards and photos have been delivered to the Simpson family showing him living it up in far-flung places.

Norris has even got a girlfriend Florence, who sends him love letters and photos of the two of them together.

"Who knows? Maybe Norris and Florence will get married with Morris his brother as the best man," Maureen laughed.
