BEIJING, Aug. 16 -- A team of dolphins at an aquarium in southern China's Shenzhen city are playing doctor to help children suffering from brain injuries.

The dolphins, with the help of human volunteers, play with the kids and "talk" to them in their own marine language.

Dolphins make sounds in the frequencies between 2000 to 100 thousand Hertz. Medical experts say the sounds stimulate human brain cells and thus can help the children in their recovery.

So far over 50 children are receiving dolphin therapy at the aquarium, of which ten have already seen signs of improvement.

Why does this not surprise me? According to The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, dolphins ARE the second most intelligent form of life on the planet. Humans are third. Smile

Hmmm, I find that hard to believe that we're 3rd down on the list.

Ah, that's just one author's take in his fictional book. It's quite comedic actually. A fun and easy read. Smile

Not me. Take a look around. We are the only species killing ourselves slowly and steadily.

Well, that's certainly true! As a whole, humankind can be rather daft, can't they?

I guess I meant if one was to do actual testing. I'm sure us bipeds would still be numero uno.
