Thermostat Wiring for Baseboard Heater

My apartment has a clunker t-stat (the old mercury). I wanted to upgrade to digital. I had this in my maintenance room

And installed it. Works fine but it is for both heat and cold (basically a central H/A). So I went looking for just a 2 wire baseboard heater only. And found this:

Has two wires, but I believe this is a different voltage. Will this still work? Or just keep the one I have installed

EDIT: This is a zone valve style you find in your typical apartment. runtwo 18g wires to the mercury t-stat.

It works. Two walls from the wall, connected to the two wires from item. The wire with the tag is the hot.
