I like REAL punk..not this pretty boy stuff that is passed of for it today.
Most of the good punk bands though , dissappeared in the late 80's. .. .. >sigh<

Can't they just be a good band, regardless of labels? Not that I am a huge fan, but I like their new album, dammit, even if it fits more into the pop-rock category than punk! Plus, they are playing Giant stadium this weekend and I love stadium shows so they are the first band that popped into my head, so there!

yeah they can be a good band. Well.. they are an ok band ( just my opinion ) mostly because that isnt my type of music. But it just seems strange to me, being a kid of 80's punk & metal, that green day was given the title of a punk band.
