A science center has a rectangular parking lot. The science center wants to add 18,400 square feet to the area of the parking lot by expanding the existing parking lot as shown. a) Write an equation that could be used to solve to find the value of x.
b) Solve the equation from part a. By what distance x should the length and width of the parking lot be expanded?
