There were two people seated with the committee last night who have not been there throughout. One was a black man...and one was a white guy with light hair.
Does anyone know who they were...or why they were there?

I think I can read the word "counsel" on their name plates.
I've never seen any of the other questioners use counselors, but it might be the case here for some reason.

This is a shot of the committee seating itself. At the 1:30:40 you can see that the black man is seated to the right of Adam Kinzinger and the white man to the left of Elaine Luria.
After looking carefully, it appears they have the word "counsel" under their names. I've not seen other counsellors previously, but maybe this was an exception for some reason.

it does look like there's just a single word on each of their nameplates.
Kinzinger is seen here fist-bumping the guy to his right...
