Selling thru Classified Ads or Ebay...?

I know little about E-Bay, but I'm sure someone can help.

I know someone that actually bought his wife's engagement ring on ebay, and I've sold cars on Ebay through my old job...so selling high priced items isn't difficult.

The one setback you may have, is Ebay has a rating system. Whenever you buy or sell something, whoever you do business with will give either positive or negative feedback to your account, which other people can see...it's a way to ensure you're a good seller/buyer.

People may be aprehensive to purchasing a big ticket item from you if you have no account history...maybe you have a friend who has a good Ebay account you could use to sell it?

Diamonds dont go for crap on ebay. If you paid 6500 maybe you will get 3000 if your lucky.Oh wait a minuet it APPRAISED for 6500. So you paid no more than 3000 I hope. I have a 350 rating and its hard to get even cost back on the tanzanite I have been trying to sell. I would try your local news paper and have them meet you at the bank. An appraisal is worth less unless its from GIA
