Snail slime cures coughs!

A medicine company in La Florida, Chile is reportedly producing and selling a cough medicine, Karacoflu, made with snail slime.

Owner of the snail farm, Maria Sannino, has claimed to have enough raw material for this ancient cough medicine recipe, and strongly believes it to be an effective cough remedy, because snail slime carries antibiotic as well as antibacterial and anti-inflammation properies.

"I have more than 8500 snails working so we can get material for this ancient cough medicine recipe," Fox News quoted him as telling Las Ultimas Noticias.

"The snail slime has antibiotic property as well as antibacterial and anti-inflammation ones," he added.

Karacoflu comes in artificial flavours of strawberry and avocado.(ANI)

It's a cough 'remedy', not a cough 'cure'. It's the same as any of the nasty stuff I can buy at the store. God knows, maybe there's snail gonk in those too.
