@The Anointed,
According to the Roman church and all her denominational daughters, Jesus was in the grave for one day and two nights, whereas He said, that he would be in the bowels of the earth for three days and three nights.

Did Jesus lie to them all? Or do they Just want your children to believe that the words of Jesus can't be trusted?

"For just as Jonah spent three days and three nights in the belly of the big fish, so too will the Son of Man spend three days and three nights in the bowels of the earth."

@The Anointed,
Well, they've got the time of his resurrection right at least, sometime early on Sunday night.

@The Anointed,
Does no one care to defend the truthful words of Jesus against the lies of the churches?

@The Anointed,
The Jewish day begins at sunset and consists of 12 hours of darkness followed by 12 hours of daylight.

Jesus died at 3 PM on Wednesday, and by the time Nicodemus and his half brother Joseph, got permission from Pilate to take his body down and to prepare it for burial by wrapping it in bandages with one hundred pounds of a mixture of Myrrh and aloes spices, and bury him in Joseph's tomb that had never been used, the sun was Just going down.

Jesus was in the tomb all that Thursday night and the following 12 hours of daylight, all Friday night and the following 12 hours of daylight, all Saturday night, and all day Saturday, and was risen Just as the sunset on the weekly Sabbath, and when the women came to the tomb in the darkness of Sunday night, just before the rising of the sun, they found the tomb to be empty.

Three days and three nights Jesus said that the 'Son of Man' would be in the bowels of the earth, and the world believes the biblical ignorant preachers who claim that Jesus died on Friday.

@The Anointed,
Nobody cares about the rantings of an antisemitic, racist bigot.

You're everything Jesus railed against, all you care about is spreading hatred and division.

You have forgotten the message and worship the creed.

Not only are you an idiot, you're a total ignorant idiot who seems to believe that an argument about Christians erroneously believing Jesus died on Friday is an attack against Jews.

Do you honestly believe that those of the Jewish faith, give a fig as to whether Jesus even lived let alone on what day he died.

Stick to a subject that you might just know a little bit about, because when it comes to religious matters you have proven yourself to be a total ignoramus.

Now you run away and wash the taste of your foot out of your mouth.

@The Anointed,
You're not being judged on this thread alone you sad delusional muppet.

You are an antiSemite who has repeated the blood libel and you recycle Irish jokes.

Nobody cares about your rantings either.

Now instead of worrying about whether or not Jesus was executed on a Friday, Thursday or whatever why don't you listen to what he said about loving ones neighbour?

If Jesus were ever to reappear you would be one of the first to nail him back up.

You are the exact sort of religious bigot that Jesus had problems with, the exact sort.

You should be thanking me for answering your question and for being the only person to comment on your thread.

So says Judge izzythepush

The blood libel is an accusation that Jewish people used the blood of Christians in religious rituals, especially in the preparation of Passover bread, that was perpetrated throughout the Middle Ages and (sporadically) until the early 20th century.

Please reveal where I have ever made the accusation that the people of the Jewish faith used the blood of Christians in religious rituals, or be revealed as the lying atheist that you are.

And BTW I also recycle Polish Jokes, English Jokes, Australian Jokes, and the humor of many other countries, you should come to one of my performances one night.

And the great judge izzythepush believes that he has the authority to speak for everyone, the poor delusional sod that it is.

Are you talking about the religious authorities of his day, who he called hypocrites and vipers, liars, and the sons to Satan the Father of all lies, and those merchants and dishonest money changers, who, after making a whip of rope, he overturned their tables and flogged the hell out of them as he drove them from the temple grounds like the swine that they were.

Quote:

No, you are incorrect, I would not be the first to nail him up, but knowing now, from Acts 2: 23; that it was in accordance with his own plan, that God had already decided that Jesus would be handed over to his chosen people; and they killed him by letting sinful men crucify him, then I would be the first to make sure that none of his followers tried to intervene in God’s plan.

And who did Jesus have any problems with, other than the religious authorities of his day? Not that a biblical ignoramus such as yourself would know.

And I do thank you, for allowing me to reveal how idiotic and biblically ignorant you simpleton atheists who haunt these forums really are.

@The Anointed,
The Jewish day began at sunset and consisted of 12 hours of darkness followed by 12 hours of Daylight.

Jesus said; "The Day has 12 hours has it not, so work while the light is with you.

Exodus 12: 6; the English word ‘DUSK’ is taken from the Hebrew - בין הערבים beyn haarbayim, which means "between the two evenings”, and which is translated in English bibles as evening or twilight, but the Hebrew “ben ha-'arbayim” literally means "between the two settings."

Rabbinic sources take this to mean "from noon on." According to Radak, the first "setting" occurs when the sun passes its zenith just after noon and the shadows begin to lengthen, and the second "setting" is the actual sunset. (p. 55, vol. 2, The Jewish Publication Society Torah Commentary, "Exodus")

Jesus died at 3PM, midway between noon and 6PM sunset on the day of preparation to the Jewish seven day Passover Festival.

Jesus held the Passover with his disciples in the evening and beginning of the 14th day of the first month, as Moses was commanded by the Lord.
There was no Pascal lamb at that Passover meal, as Jesus gave to his disciples the bread and wine, which symbolised the body and blood of the true lamb, who takes on the sins of the world.

After giving many instructions to his disciples, they retired to a garden across the Kidron brook, where Jesus would often gather with his disciples.

Judas knew where they would be, and in the early part of the 12 hours of darkness of the day of Preparation to the erroneous Jewish Passover, he, with a group of Roman soldiers and some temple guards, came with “lanterns to light the way in the darkness” and arrested Jesus.

After being questions by the Jewish authorities, spat on, slapped around and mocked, he was then taken to the palace of the gentile Pontus Pilate, it was just before midnight and the Jews would not enter the gentile palace as that would have made them ritually unclean, and unable to eat of the Passover lamb next evening of the 15th of Nisan, see John 18: 28.

Matthew 27: 19; While Pilate was sitting in the judgement hall, his wife sent him a message, saying: “Have nothing to do with that innocent man, because in a dream “THIS NIGHT” I suffered much on account of him.”

It was not 'NOON' as stated by the authors of the Catholic Good News Study Edition of the Bible, when Pilate passed judgement on Jesus, it was the sixth hour of the 12 hours of darkness (MIDNIGHT) on the day of preparation to the erroneous Jewish Passover. See RSV John 19: 14.

See Mark 15: 25 RSV; He was nailed to the cross on the 3rd hour of the 12 hours of daylight, (9 AM) on the 14th day of Nisan, the day of preparation to the Jewish seven day Passover: darkness covered the city of Jerusalem from (NOON) the 6th hour of the 12 hours of daylight on the day of preparation to the Jewish Passover, for 3 hours, until Jesus died on the 9th hour (3PM) on the day of preparation to the Jewish Passover, and was buried just as the sun was setting on the day of preparation to the Jewish seven day Passover Festival, as the Jews were preparing to eat their pascal Lambs in the evening of the 15th day of Nisan, which was the first of their seven day Festival of Unleavened bread, a Most High Sabbath, on which no work could be done.

The seven days Festival of Unleavened Bread in Israel, always begins on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan. Because the Hebrew months are pegged directly to the lunar cycle, the 15th day of Nisan is always a full moon. Jesus rose in the dusk of late Saturday afternoon, and his tomb was found to be empty in the darkness Sunday morning, but as Passover can fall on various days of the week, and Jesus said that he would be in the bowels of the earth for three days and three nights, we must ask the question; “On what day was he buried, on what day did the 15th of Nisan fall?”

The tomb of Jesus was found to be empty early on Sunday morning while it was still dark, See John 20: 1; this does not necessarily mean that he was risen on Sunday Morning, he may have been resurrected in the evening and beginning of Sunday, just after the sun had set on Saturday the weekly Sabbath.

In fact if we believe the words of Jesus, and knowing that he was placed in the tomb as the sun was setting on the day he was murdered, to have remained in the tomb for three days and three nights, he had to have been risen as the sun set on the third day.

If this were the case, it would mean that Jesus was buried as the sunset on Wednesday the 14th day of Nisan, (The true day of Passover) but the day of preparation to the erroneous Jewish seven days Passover, and remained in the tomb all Thursday night and the next day, the fifteenth day of Nisan, which is the first day of the Jewish Passover=seven day festival of Unleavened Bread, a MOST HIGH Sabbath on which no work could be done.

Then Friday night and Friday, the sixteenth day of Nisan in which the women could go out to the markets and purchase the Herbs and spices they needed to prepare the tomb of Jesus, and as the purchase and preparation of those spices would have taken up most of that day, and the evening of Saturday the weekly Sabbath was fast approaching in which no work could be done either, it was not until Sunday morning, in the darkness, that they were able to go, in order to prepare the tomb of Jesus, only to find that it was empty.

If Jesus was not resurrected until Sunday morning, then he would, had to have been in the tomb for three days and four nights.

So, unless we reckon that Jesus lied when he said that the ‘Son of Man’ would be in the bowels of the earth for three days and three nights, we must now accept that according to the scriptures, I repeat, “According to the scriptures,” Jesus died on Wednesday the 14th of Nisan, was in the tomb on the Thursday night and day of the 15th, the Friday night and day of the 16th, and the Saturday night and day of the 17th of Nisan, and was risen early in the evening and beginning of Sunday the 18th, but in what Year?

How smart are those priests of the Roman church of Emperor Constantine, they teach that Jesus was arrested early in the night of Wednesday the 14th, and was condemned by Pilate at “NOON” on Wednesday the 14th, and yet was nailed to the cross at 9AM on the morning of Wednesday the 14th.

I wonder what Jesus, who called the priests of his day, liars and serpents, and the sons of Satan the father of all lies, would call those priests of the Roman church of Emperor. Constantine?

Time permitting and God willing, we may return to this subject.

How do you reconcile that with Luke 24:21?

We're talking about the Jesus who is recorded in the bible, the Jesus who was in the grave for three days and three nights and who was not in the grave in the darkness of Sunday night three days after the Wednesday afternoon when he was buried as the darkness of Thursday night was descending.

Thursday night and Thursday, Friday night and Friday, Saturday night and Saturday and who was risen sometime in the darkness of Sunday night.
