There was a terrible road accident as two cars collided into each other.

Is "collided into" correct?

Thanks.

@tanguatlay,
It is correct but is not likely to be used over here. Two cars collided with each other/one another is more natural.

@tanguatlay,
There was a terrible road accident as two cars collided. This would be sufficient, although either of the two alternatives mentioned would be correct.

...as two cars collided.

That’s all you need. 😍

@PUNKEY,
Correct. In fact, the word "road" can be removed, too.

@tanguatlay,
It is technically correct but "into each other" is redundant so you can just leave it out.

It's okay, but "collided with" would be better.

@tanguatlay,
Yes, it's correct but it's as jarring as a tempest in a teacup and a storm in a sugar stoup.

I'd much rather but the cart before the incident.

"Two cars collided in a terrible accident on the Ampang Rd last evening."
