The book titled "The Old Man and the Sea" was written by Ernest Hemingway.

Should there be commas encasing "titled"?

Thanks.

No, please read the comma link I have posted time and again.

No comma is necessary in this sentence.

You could probably better use the word 'entitled', but it does not have to be in quotes. Put in quotes simply the title of the book. - David Lyga

The book "The Old Man and the Sea" was written by Ernest Hemingway.

I have removed "titled" from the sentence.

Are commas needed for the title in this case?

Thanks.
