The skeptic Trevor H. Hall criticized the hypothesis claiming if it was true "the building would almost certainly fall into ruins." According to Richard Wiseman the hypothesis has not held up to scrutiny.

1. Should there be a comma after "hypothesis"?
2. Should it be "...the hypothesis has not been held up to scrutiny"?
3. Should there be a comma after" Wiseman"?

I would put commas around "claiming if it was true" or put 'that' after 'claiming'

I agree the comma is optional in 3.

The phrase "the building...ruins," is encased in inverted commas meaning that was what was actually said, so you can't change it.
