Even before I came here, I heard that the church is a very busy place. And although the situation is a little different due to Covid 19, I notice the church is very busy.

Is the sentence in bold grammatically correct? if not, please rephrase it for me?

It is correct but I would be more inclined to use this form:

And although the situation is a little different due to Covid 19, I notice that the church is still very busy.
