Usage of "as such"?

Can someone show me how to use "as such"? I have checked my dictionaries, but I am still doubtful how it is used? Would be grateful if some example sentences are given to enable to have a clearer picture?

Thanks.

You can also use it as a type as in, "I like detective dramas like Starsky and Hutch and such."
