I have the same problem with BOGO which is allegedly short for Buy One, Get One Free. So, why isn't it BOGOF? Because BOGO sounds like regular buying. You pay for one ... ergo ... buy one and you otherwise always get one.
If you come in Friday, they say the sale will be on Sunday and when you come in on Sunday they say the sale was last Friday.
It is like owning insurance for "fire and theft".
When your house burns down the insurance company says in order to collect your house had to have been robbed while it was burning down...
I once saw an ad in the paper with an image of a washer and dryer on sale and at the bottom it read, "machines are larger than they appear" - lol - No kidding!
