Threads get locked when posters violate conditions of service.

Read them, they'll help you work out what happened.

But he is the only poster writing anything interesting.

I work in an environment that is PC-maxed out. We don't even apply 'Ladies & Gentlemen' to our pa-announcements anymore - lest we breach 'Diversity' constraints.
I had my car serviced, last week - greasy, dirty folk, covered in oil and weld-scars (Proper mechanics) They were ribbing their female employee - "Get the kettle on, you're not capable of changing a clutch" - She replied "You wouldn't even know where a clutch was until a woman showed you... etc".

What a breath of fresh air, that was. Btw - They're all good folk and they take the piss, all day, every day.

It could be a glitch I've known other innocuous threads shut down but reinstated once they mods are aware of what happened.

If you think it's a glitch use the contact us button at the bottom of the screen, that's better than a load of old paranoid conspiracy bollocks.

I hate to ask, but how's the self medication going, are you still producing brown foul smelling urine or have things taken an upturn of late?

The garlic (allycilin) Whacked the infection in less than a week. I've had no issues since - pee still smells a bit roast-bacon-esque, but my runner beans loved it - I took my last crop mid-november.
I have the arctic melt to thank for that - 12 degrees here.

The moderators quickly lock every thread that he starts. And they usually remove any posts questioning why.

It's a shame, because many of his threads would probably garner no responses even if they didn't lock them. But now and then one of them could be the seed for an interesting science discussion, and that discussion never gets to occur once the thread is locked.
