Hi All!
I would really like to do spins/turns. I am learning by myself and this is the next move I would like to learn. When I see people spinning, their feet seem to be close together and in sync, looking very neat and together when they have finished, but when I do it, one foot ends up going around more slowly than the other and when I finish, it looks like I have taken a pace forward or backward. I am so new to this that any ideas would be very welcome. Does anyone know what I can do, pls?
@AnnieNona,
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about but I wish you luck.
@Mame,
Hi, thanks Mame! I don't think you are the only one! Maybe I wasn't clear.
Thanks for replying to my question anyway.
@AnnieNona,
I don't think a forum like this is the best place for learning dance moves.
The written word has its limits.
Is there a dance studio you could attend, or failing that an instructional video on YouTube or tick tock?
Good luck anyway.
@izzythepush,
True. I think I might have misunderstood what the forum was about. Yes, you are right. Although I am a bit ginger about being around people still due to covid🤭, but learning in-person/and or with visuals of a video would work better. Thanks for the suggestions!
@AnnieNona,
Which style of dance?
I can explain a Salsa spin or a Swing turn. I dont know if thats what you are talking about.
@izzythepush,
I'm afraid someone who will remain witless is stalking you!!!
@AnnieNona,
Put your best foot forward. then it's all about heels and toes.
@roger,
My husband and I were going to take swing classes until the pandemic hit... I'll have to look into it for January. Looks like fun. Don't know if we'll be allowed to dance, though.
@Mame,
That's IT! I'm probably not allowed to dance.
@izzythepush,
The obnoxious child in the back seat, "I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you!" Ad nauseam.
@bobsal u1553115,
I've known kids who you have to stick on their own, because they will get thumped regardless of who you sit them next to.
They would claim they were being bullied, but the truth wax they would get at the other kid and wind them up so much they snapped and lashed out.
If you couldn't sit them on their own you needed to kick them out first sign of trouble.
It was either that or sending out the whole class.
@izzythepush,
Passive aggressive who haunt forums.
Note: Izzy, Bobsal and Mame derailed another thread, and dragged it into insinuation and nastiness all on their own. I had nothing to do with it.
You can't pin this **** on me.
@maxdancona,
Don't know why I'm included in your accusation - all I spoke about was dance.
@Mame,
I owe you an apology Mame. You are correct.
I am sorry.
