It could be something like the algorithms used to filter out spam -- the percentage of "bad" words compared to normal words, whether it seems like normal text, etc.

A lot of these types of spam e-mails aren't meant to be read.

Many have HTML code imbedded into the e-mail or a simple graphic. By opening the e-mail your system executes the HTML code and then the sender can tell that your e-mail addy is both valid and currently in use.

They then sell your e-mail addy as "recently validated as active" (which sells for more than an unvalidated list) to other spammers.

Don't open e-mails that show up in your box from people you don't know. Wink

I know exactly what that is. It is the latest trick of spam artists.

You aren't meant to see this. You are meant to see a traditional spam message offering to enlarge a body part or otherwise enhance your pleasure.

Many email programs will use a little bit of script that is attached to this message to transform this seeming nonsense into the advertisement you were supposed to see.

The "problem" is that your email program or browser isn't cooperating. Perhaps you have scripts or HTML turned off? (This isn't a bad idea anyway).

The idea is too trick any spam blocking software. The text you posted doesn't look like spam to the spam blocking software even though the end result should look like spam to you.

BTW I hate spam, but as a tech geek I think the idea behind this new spam is pretty cool when it works.

Shocked

those sneaky bas-turds.
yeah EB, that IS pretty cool no matter how annoying it is.

If not opening them will work then that is what I shall do.
I know better then to think that just opening an email will give you a virus ( not downloading anything either )
But with the way these were looking, I was really worried that they were depositing something on my computer ( virus , spyware etc )
>sigh<

There is no danger, they are just an annoyance.

Just delete them (unless of course you are interested in getting a great price on Viagra from Canada).

Herbal Viagra is probably a quack mixture of ginger root,
male virgin blood, and some refried beans.
