Hit by a driver with no insurance, cops did nothing

I knew there was something off about this. And there it is. The "I'm not racist card, BUT..."

Look, you have Liability insurance ONLY. That means you have the ability to pay for damage you cause to other vehicles or property and you forewent ANY damage to your own. Now you want to whine and complain about YOUR decision to save a few bucks.

How do you know whether or not I have "the ability" pay for the damage to my vehicle? Maybe the reason I'm paying for liability is because I can't afford full coverage. Regardless, I was following the law and the other driver was not.

So, according to you, the outrage is how dare I not spend more money on a vehicle that I only drive once per week, and not that another person was breaking the law and got away with it.

You have Liability insurance only. You didn't care enough about your vehicle to pay for any damages to your vehicle whether you, or others caused damage. Now, not only do you want to cry 'FOUL!" now, but explicitly because a non-insured driver is Black.

The Police did not cite the other driver for Fault. Nor did the other party get cited for non-insurance. You didn't even prove, by video, it's their fault.

Thanks to the people who offered constructive advice here. Looks like I probably won't be covered for the person hitting me, but I'm still waiting to hear back from one other insurance person.

To the neptune person who likes to spend their time calling people on the internet "stupid" and blaming innocent people for other people breaking the law, I hope you can get some help and I hope that you have people who will tolerate you.
