I have this antique vase which has been in my family for years. I have no idea who made it. If anyone knows please let me know.

Is it ceramic or porcelain or glass? Is it a colored glass? Is there a design painted on?

It may be a genuine imitation Ming vase...

Or it might be something which your Uncle Otto crafted at Vacation Bible School.

I know how much work is behind such an invention, because I am currently developing a correction software for spellcheckers - that would avoid for example "You are so nice, Walter" coming out as "That would be nice".

It could be there was a vasectomy which coul render it a moot point. There is a vas deferens with vases.
