My Cabinet colleagues and I, including the older ones, will be getting ourselves vaccinated early.

Would it be better if it were rephrased as "I and my Cabinet colleagues, including the older ones, will be getting ourselves vaccinated early"?

The convention is to list others before yourself, "they and I," out of politeness.
