I would like to know the title and artist of the song with the following lyrics. It is mainly sang by a lady. The blanks mean I don't know that part of the lyrics.
(man)
eh nah eh nah eh nah eh eh
eh nah eh nah eh nah eh eh
Chrous: (woman)
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooooh ooooh, ___ for you
________, love too, oooh,
Please let me know if you know this song. Thanks.
@hmusix,
no wonder i couldn't find it. I got the lyrics wrong. It's "What lovers do" by Marron 5.
@hmusix,
This first post sounds a bit like "Kiss Him Goodbye".
Second post suggest either nothing or that you've found your answer.
@roger,
Had a similar reaction, thought of the Steam song immediately.
Anywho, I think they got the answer and it was from a group Maroon 5.
@roger,
The song you’re thinking of isn’t called that.
It’s called Na na hey hey, and it was released by Bananarama in 1983.
@izzythepush,
I'm be stubborn on this one, but thanks anyway.
@roger,
you're both right.
First done by a one hit wonder group Steam in 1968 as he Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye it received a second run in 1983 by British girl trio Bananarama. They were later filmed recovering during a Cruel, Cruel Summer in some part of NYC because they'd Heard A Rumour that said Roebrt DeNiro's Waiting.
The Steam version was never meant to be at all successful. The Bananarama version was meant to be so. And Was.
Bananarama later had a successful hit when they took on Venus which was originally done in the 60s by Shocking Blue.
