Unusual hand and arm stiffness and weakness

My husband is 34 years old and healthy. Last Sunday he was having trouble controlling his hands and arms. He had never experienced this before. He says there is no pain but his hands and arms were not reacting normally to his attempts to use them. It was taking more thought and effort to lift his arms a certain way and to use fine motor skills in his hands. It went away by the next day but started again yesterday. Is there any explanation for this?

Also, I meant to post this in the medical category. Can someone tell me how to post into specific topics?

@Bethington,
If your husband has had a stroke then you are wasting time messing around on the internet.
