Thanks, 'Montana' and 'msolga'! I hope retirement will be rosy as well. I still am planning to take a part time job of some kind. Just a few hours per week should help as a hedge against inflation. Also will be buying more bank GIC's next year.

Not to diminish your Glorious Gloat, but would you have time in the next couple weeks to make a map of Florida with our A2K members situation in their proper geographic locations so we could worry selectively and constructively?

There are more, but I don't think of them as FL people--just A2K people.

Sure, if they don't mind being identified as such. I'm wondering if some may not like that as they don't clearly state where they are from. So, I'm a little nervous about proceeding with such a plan.

Perhaps it would just be a better idea for Florida members to report in on their own and give us a run down on what is going on. If they don't, perhaps they can't, or....

Could you please start the thread?

congratulations! I envy you. My fiance and I just bought our first home together and our first mortgage payment is to be debited out of our account tomorrow. The first in 30 years worth of payments. Kind of scary when you look at it like that. At least we have a beautiful house with a big backyard.

Thanks! Well, we don't have a house. It's a townhouse. Not ideal, but it was all we could afford back in 1992.

It's just my wife and I now, so it's plenty big enough with 3 bedrooms.

I wish you well in your new home!

That would be extremely hard to do as I follow no sports. I'm one of those rarities that gets turned off by such activity.
