if it is at all possible, keep the two new ones in a seperate room with the door closed.
They will all smell each other under the door
Then, the next day, switch the pair out.
This way they both 'invade' each others territory and have to live around each others smell before they actually meet.
Pull it off for as long as you can. A week? Maybe a bit more...
That tactic has worked wonders for me and my mother through several cats.
