his name was Max.
he liked his independence and mostly kept to himself, except when he was hungry.
he was a table food thief, so we always kept the chairs tucked in
but he was at his best when i brought home a month-old tabby named Kiki that i had found on the street.
Max took her under his (paw) wing, and showed her the ropes.
it was fun to watch him take on the role of parent
