Confronted with Dáte’s question at Thursday’s White House briefing, Trump responded with a question of his own. “All the what?,” he said.
Is the comma before the closed inverted commas necessary?

What I wonder is why people ask such things .... You are sat on the internet, which if I put the search into Bing ... 'How to use commas' .... returns 74 million plus results.

Going through 74 million-plus hits just to find the answer to my question! Wouldn't it take many hours or a couple of days? Does it make sense?
