How to Backdate Photos without showing on Newsfeed?

Good day. I recently added a photo and set that as "only me", then backdated it a couple years ago.

A few hours after that, I set that to "public". And people started liking and commenting on those pictures.

My intention is to backdate photos so 1) it doesn't show on other people's news-feed but if they search me, they can see it in my profile, and 2) I was hoping in the photo section the photos are arranged according to the actual time the photo was taken, but apparently it was according to when I posted. So even the photos were a couple years back, it shows first because I just recently posted.

Does anyone know how can I fix that and what should I do next time?

Many thanks!

Alex

@aykh,
You can’t backdate a picture that you post today. You might want to mention that’s it’s a photo from the past.

Many people post on TBT ( Throw back Thursday) and will post a picture that everyone understands is from the past. But they usually mention the date.
