Presidents are elected by the people, to serve the people, which makes them public servants. If this is so, then if said president proves to be inept at his/her job can he/she be fired other than voted out or impeachment? And if so how
@Smokeyroses,
The 25th Amendment provides another way to remove a president.
Quote:Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office
@maxdancona,
Outside of that, or impeachment, it is darn hard to get rid of any
elected official.
@roger,
There is assassination. I am not in any condoning that course of actiinz but it is there.
@maxdancona,
Not quite the same as fired.
The normal way of firing a president is to vote him out.

Just not very well.
Hey, they've got lots and lots of help...
...from Trump himself.
@McGentrix,
I have already gone on record here as predicting a definitive Trump defeat. Biden doesn't really have to do anything (and probably that is the best strategy).
In 5 months you can admit that I was right.

Yes, as well as every other method under the sun.
Most confounding to me is why he was tolerated as president a whole first month. That's how long it took for him to reveal how his phony baloney administration would take us down to disaster.

Will do. I'll expect the same.
If the Democrats only had a candidate instead of something out of Weekend at Bernies.

No one has shot him yet.
Almost every other method under the sun.
