When we will be able to travel again? Are you already making plans for the next trip?

@PenguinJohn,
There is no clear answer to that question. I personally have canceled all air or other long distance travel for a minimum of six months to a year contingent upon the significant flattening of the statistical curve of coronavirus cases.

I am considering travelling to Mexico in the next couple of months. It depends on what each government says.

Airlines are selling risk free tickets (you can change them with no cost if you change your mind).

@maxdancona,
If I’m not mistaken I believe that Mexico is currently in a an upswing in corona victims. I know for sure that Brazil and Peru are in the upswing as well as the Nicaraguan border (with brazil?).

No one can answer your question because literally NO ONE knows where you are or where you plan on traveling to. Do you NOT know that the world is pretty damn big and that there will be about 100 different legally defined answers depending on what country you reside?

Every country and even every state in the US has its own set of protocols and procedures. Yeah. You need to start with these very important details. You don't have to be too specific but you cannot be THAT vague.

I am planning on traveling mid-August - when my daughter goes back to college. We will make the 10 hour drive yet again!

Besides that we have are traveling just a 3 hour trip for a long weekend.

My daughter may be traveling by plane this summer to visit family.

But people are traveling now. In the south (US) lots of things are open.

I am not planning any out of the country travel.

@tsarstepan,
Good point - in that even in New England - for example, if I were to go from MA to Maine - Maine does not want us. I do not know the specific details, but you may not be able to get hotel for example, or you might have to be quarantined for 2 weeks.

Different states have different rules - but in general, the southern states seem to be more open; and New England more closed - with others scattering depending on the state.

Better to read up than be sorry. The other worry --- if you are driving a distance - where will/can you stop to use the restroom.

Mexico is a fair sized country. It goes state by state. I am not planning to go to DF (where Mexico city is).

Mexico still has far fewer cases than the US. I am more of a risk to bring the virus to Mexico then to catch it there (hopefully they will let me in anyway).

@PenguinJohn,
Before this pandemic started, I was planning to go visit Italy. Now I think that my trip will be done in more than 6 months/1 year, also because I don't really want to risk while the virus is still around.
