@engineer,
As far as safe there are lots of things kids do that some parents allow and others do not.
Do you allow your kids to play any sports? Climb trees? Ride a bike? Go outside by themselves? Cross the street? Eat candy or soda?
Any of these things along with a million more can be dangerous; should we arrest every parent that allows a child to do something that has any potential to be dangerous? Where is the line drawn and who gets to decide it?
I see this little kid can't be more than 6 riding his bike with training wheels. He is with his mom and other brother typically. This kid is almost always riding in the street. We live on a very quiet street however, there are many twists in the road, one in particular where you cannot see someone on the other side of the curve even if they are on the sidewalk and here comes this kid in the street. Most cars drive slow, but I have seen people driving way too fast on this rode.
Should I call the police and have this parent arrested because she allows her son to do this?
