multiple personality disorder?

They talk a lot of sense, and have given me valuable guidance in the past.
I heard a rumor that Lord Ellpus, Slappy, Gus, and (maybe) Kicky (and maybe a few others) are actually the same person in the throes of a multiple personality disorder. I'm not sure which one is the alleged original, but due to some ghastly event, the original persona split off into a potful of people. It is encouraging that Lord Ellpus demonstrates admiration for the others . . . it could be a sign that the split personalities may someday merge.
I heard another rumor, however, that suggests that Lord Ellpus and Gus are actually twins who were separated at birth. One is supposed to be evil and the other one is supposed to be good; but I can't remember which is which.
Those rumors . . . where do they get started?
